COMPOSITION OF THE FLEET
Rear Admiral C. S. Sperry, Commander in Chief
Prior to leaving San Francisco, the composition of the U. S. Atlantic Fleet was changed by the detachment of the Second Torpedo Flotilla and Arethusa and the substitution of the Nebraska and Wisconsin for the Alabama and Maine. (The Alabama and Maine preceeded the fleet to the United States via the Suez Canal.)
