Mercedes Benz 280SE

The 1983 280SE was a great car! It had all the fancy options and it had both speed and handling. When we returned to Canada in 1997 we were caught up by the rule that cars coming into Canada that do not meet all current standards must be at least 15 years old. This 'Merc' was fourteen! With regret we sold it (to another Canadian, so it may be in Canada by now) and looked for an older machine. For three years, though, it provided wonderful transport and took us as far east as Prague in the Czech Republic and as far west as Winchester, in England.
