Now that the dust has settled on our three spectacular shows this extended summer of 1998 -"Anything Goes" directed by Lori Mazey at the Sid at the end of July,"Mowgli, and Tales of the Rain Forest" directed by Carol Coulson at The Old Church Theatre in Mid August, and "Oliver" directed by Jim Rickson at the Norwood Equestrian Centre in the third week in October,it is time to assess what happened. The three shows put 230 plus performers up on stage with an estimated 300 support parents, grandparents and friends doing all the work behind the scenes to make the shows presentable. Rainbow would like to thank these performers and behind the scenes support staff and the 4,000 plus patrons who came to see the shows, who, with all your support made our job worthwhile. Last year(1997) we put over 100 performers on the stage in two shows, and this also involved well over 100 support staff. If our popularity as a summer workshop continues to grow, and as it has been our historic policy to put everyone on stage who wishes to be, we will have to do some early planning on what to do to satify this nitch we have created. Interested members and friends please think about ways to accomadate the the next years influx and send in your ideas. No telephone calls please, but our address is-- Rainbow Youth Theatre, Box 3527, Courtenay,B.C., V9N 6Z8 or please sign our guestbook below
